Privacy Policy

Subby does not require a Subby account or sign-in. The subscriptions you enter are stored on your device, with optional backup to your private iCloud account. Some features use the services described below.
Data You Store
Your subscription records, including amounts, billing dates and notes, are stored locally on your device. They are not uploaded to a server operated by Subby. You can edit or delete these records in the app.
Subby Plus Purchases (RevenueCat)
Subby uses Apple’s App Store and RevenueCat to manage Subby Plus purchases and access to paid features.
RevenueCat receives purchase history and receipt or transaction information, along with an anonymous App User ID and technical information such as the device type and operating system needed to provide its service. This information is processed and stored on RevenueCat’s servers.
Purchase information is used for app functionality, including purchase validation, fraud prevention, restoring purchases and enabling paid features, and for analytics about Subby Plus purchases.
Subby uses RevenueCat-generated anonymous IDs. It does not supply RevenueCat with your name, email address or an identifiable custom user ID. RevenueCat does not receive the subscription list you enter in Subby.
Subby does not use purchase information for advertising or cross-app tracking and has no advertising or attribution integrations.
Apple handles payments; Subby does not receive your payment card details. Deleting local subscription records does not delete purchase records held by Apple or RevenueCat. For details about RevenueCat’s processing, see its privacy policy at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.
Internet Usage
Subby uses the internet to obtain currency exchange rates, search for brand information and logos, check or restore Subby Plus purchases, and back up or restore data through iCloud when you enable that feature. Your locally saved subscription records can be viewed offline.
Brand searches send the search term or service domain to Brandfetch; exchange-rate requests send the base currency to ExchangeRate-API. These requests do not send your subscription amounts, billing dates, notes or full subscription list. Service providers also receive the network information needed to handle requests, such as your IP address.
Optional iCloud Backup
If you enable iCloud backup, Subby uploads your subscription records to the app’s private CloudKit database in your iCloud account so you can restore them. These backups are stored by Apple, not on a Subby-operated server. You can turn off backup in Subby and manage stored iCloud data through Apple’s settings. Turning backup off or deleting local records does not automatically delete an existing cloud backup.
Data Sharing and Support
Subby does not sell your data or share it for advertising. Data is processed by the service providers described above to deliver the relevant features. If you contact support, the email address and information you choose to send are used to respond to your request. For privacy questions or requests concerning data held by Subby, contact hello@getsubby.app.
Changes to This Policy
If this privacy policy changes in the future, the updated version will be published on this page. Significant changes may also be communicated within the app.
